So you may be tired of the daily grind or just looking for a unique way to make some extra cash from home. And you've heard it might be possible to make money selling pictures of your feet.
The market for selling feet pics has been growing, providing a lucrative opportunity for those willing to put their best foot forward (wink, wink).
But how do you get started selling feet pictures online? And what are the steps to successfully make money at it?
In this tutorial, we'll explore the step-by-step process of getting started with this unconventional side hustle, including the best platforms for selling, photography tips, foot care, and who buys feet pictures anyway.
There are also other things to consider, like how to sell your feet pictures safely and whether you will need to pay taxes.
We'll discuss all of these things below.
Of course, it's important to note that selling feet pics isn't a surefire way to get rich quickly. Success depends on factors like your marketing skills, the quality of your photos, and the demand for your particular style.
That said, with the right approach and a little persistence, you could be well on your way to turning your tootsies into a profitable endeavor.
Who Buys Feet Pictures?
Selling feet pictures online has become increasingly popular in recent years, and various industries demand them. One of the primary buyers of feet pictures are the various websites that publish and sell them.
These websites may showcase artists' portfolios and help buyers find high-quality images for their projects. They may also have access to potential foot models who want to make extra money by selling photos of their own feet.
Apart from websites, other businesses require images of feet, such as vendors who sell foot jewelry, pedicure websites that offer services for foot care, and shoe manufacturers promoting their new footwear.
All these companies need high-quality images of feet to showcase their products or services and increase sales. This creates a demand for such images, which can be a lucrative opportunity for those interested in selling photos of their own feet.
Of course, some buyers or feet pictures are just feet connoisseurs.
Understanding the potential customers and their requirements is the first step in selling feet pictures online. By providing high-quality images that meet the demand of your market, you have the potential to earn extra cash.
Do You Need Pretty Feet to Sell Feet Pics?
It's a common misconception that only people with aesthetically pleasing feet can make money by selling pictures of their feet online. However, it's untrue.
Anyone can go down this path, regardless of the size, shape, or condition of their feet. Believe me, when searching stock photography sites for this tutorial, I saw some really gnarly feet.
So there are customers out there who are looking for unique and different types of feet, and they are willing to pay for them.
If selling pictures of your feet is what you want to do, don't worry about whether your feet are pretty enough. Who buys them and why they buy them is not only subjective but unexpected.
For example, even medical sites and medical product brochures require pictures of feet.
So, you can still make money, in some cases, significant money, by finding the right customers who are looking for what you have to offer. Remember that uniqueness can be a selling point, and there are people out there who appreciate something different.
Why Sell Feet Pics?
The obvious reason to sell photos of your feet is extra cash.
Despite how unconventional it may sound, there is a significant demand for pictures of feet. People are willing to pay a premium price for high-quality images, and this market is not only limited to professional models and athletes.
Anyone can monetize their feet.
Selling feet pictures is a straightforward process that requires little investment. All you need is a camera and some creative ideas to capture your feet, toes, and legs in different positions.
It's important to get creative with poses, angles, and styles to increase your chances of success.
Additionally, lighting plays a crucial role in creating high-quality images. Natural sunlight is the best source of light for these types of photos, but artificial lighting works fine too.
If you have unique feet, such as long toes or unusual coloring, it can be used to your advantage to attract potential buyers.
Once you have taken some decent pictures, all you need to do is post them online and start advertising your services. Below is a comprehensive step-by-step tutorial that walks you through the exact process.
The internet has made it easy to reach a global audience, and you can use social media platforms, websites, and online marketplaces to showcase your pictures and attract potential customers.
And with a little effort and maintaining a consistent online presence, you could make a significant amount of money selling pictures of your feet.
Selling Feet Pictures Online: Step-by-Step Guide
Selling pics of your tootsies is quite simple, but still, there's a process to it. And if you've never sold anything online before or managed an online business, it can be a little overwhelming.
So I'll walk you through it step by step.
Here's a quick rundown, and then we'll get more in-depth.
- Step 1 – Choose A Platform and Create a Strategy
- Step 2 – Create a Seller Profile
- Step 3 – Set Your Price
- Step 4 – Take High-Quality Photos of Your Feet
- Step 5 – Upload Your Feet Pics
- Step 6 – Promoting and Driving Traffic to Your Pics
- Step 7 – Accept Payment and Deliver Your Foot Pictures
- Step 8 – Manage Your Customer Relationships (Safely)
Step 1 – Choose A Platform and Create a Strategy
We've got a lot to cover in this first step, but it's an important one.
Before you get started and commit your time and effort to taking pictures of your feet, you need to come up with a plan.
For example, are you going to use a dedicated foot-selling site, or will you sell on social media platforms and marketplaces like Etsy or eBay?
The easiest way to start is to use dedicated feet pic sites, but that's something you'll have to decide. Below is an extensive list, so take your time with this decision.
You'll want to settle on one platform to start, and then, if it's something you enjoy and you're comfortable with, you can create a plan to expand your foot photo business going forward.
So let's start by looking at dedicated feet pic selling sites…
Feetify
Feetify is a platform that allows photographers to showcase and sell their work, specifically foot pictures. It operates on a membership structure, with photographers paying a one-time fee of $49 in crypto to become premium members.
To be honest, I'm not really a fan of crypto, at least in the context of online marketplaces. I understand in this instance, it's to protect your privacy, and that's good. But crypto marketplaces also operate in the shadier corners of the web.
Anyway, with Feetify, you can keep all the revenue you make without having to pay any third parties or fees.
How to Sell Feet Pics on Feetify
To sell feet pics on Feetify, you should register and become a premium member first. Then, you can upload your portfolio and start selling your pictures directly to customers through Feetify's private chat system.
Feetify has an editors team that reviews each image to make sure it meets the platform's quality standards before it's available for sale. You can engage directly with customers with full confidentiality.
Feetify fees
Feetify operates on a membership model, with photographers paying a one-time fee of $49 in crypto to become a premium member. There are no additional fees or commissions charged by Feetify (as long as you're a premium member), allowing you to keep all the revenue you make from your sales.
Feet Finder
FeetFinder is another popular online platform for buying, selling, and trading feet pictures. It's a safe and anonymous platform that protects sellers' identities and keeps buyers' information secure.
How to Sell Feet Pics on FeetFinder?
To start selling feet pics on FeetFinder, create an account by filling out all the necessary information and including relevant keywords in your bio.
Your profile will need to be approved by FeetFinder before you can start selling, and after approval, pay the seller's commission to start posting your feet pictures or feet videos online.
Choose a payment method that works best for you when dealing with buyers directly.
FeetFinder Fees
FeetFinder charges a small fee of $3.99 per month or $14.99 annually, which helps maintain the platform's service.
The fees can be paid using major credit cards or PayPal.
Additionally, FeetFinder automatically blurs your photos and ensures that buyers have an idea of what they are purchasing before buying it, but despite your monthly or annual fee, they also charge a 20% transaction fee.
Still, for the convenient features, it might be worth it to you. FeetFinder has become one of the most popular platforms for buying and selling feet pictures safely and securely.
Instafeet
Instafeet has recently merged with FeetFinder (above), but I've included just a brief mention here in case you've read about them somewhere else and were unaware of the merger.
Of course, everything you need to know about Instafeet you can now find at feetfinder.com.
Feetpics.com
Feetpics.com is a platform designed to make selling feet pictures easy and convenient. Sellers can create their profiles and start selling their feet pics without worrying about any hidden fees or commissions.
Additionally, the platform offers access to photography tips and foot care advice from experienced professionals.
How to Sell Feet Pics on Feetpics.com
To sell your feet pics on Feetpics.com, simply create your seller profile and add as many listings as you want to display your entire collection of foot photos.
You can personalize your description of yourself and your work, as well as add contact details for interested buyers to reach out to you directly. Anonymously of course.
Once a sale is made, it takes place directly between the seller and buyer without involving any third party.
Feetpics.com fees
Feetpics.com charges a one-time fee of $9 to create a seller profile and start selling feet pictures. There are no additional fees or commissions charged for any sales made through the platform.
Fun With Feet
Fun with Feet is a platform that connects foot enthusiasts from around the world and provides a way to buy and sell foot-related content.
Users can register for an account and post their feet pics while also engaging with other users on the platform.
How to Sell Feet Pics on Fun with Feet
First, you must register and confirm your account. Afterward, you can create a profile and upload a profile picture and a short bio.
As a member, you can then select from an array of categories to post your photos, and you can also advertise additional services. For example, if you provide pedicures or offer therapeutic foot massages and reflexology treatments, you can offer those here.
It's important to be creative in capturing the best shots of your feet and posting quality content with suitable captions and hashtags to attract potential buyers.
Fun with Feet Fees
Fun with Feet charges a small listing fee of $9.99 for three months or $14.99 for six months. This fee allows you to post your content and sell it on the platform. Once a sale is made, the funds will automatically be deposited into your Fun with Feet wallet, making it easy to withdraw your earnings.
Dollar Feet
Dollar Feet is another site where models can sell foot and leg-related pics and videos. It could just be my perception, but it seems to have a little more of an adult feel if you know what I getting at.
Anyway, unlike other platforms, Dollar Feet pays its models for every 10 minutes of accepted video footage, with each model receiving $10.
However, they do say that the price may depend on the appearance of your feet and that professional feet models may be paid more.
How to Sell Feet Pics on Dollar Feet
Dollar Feet is a little different than other platforms. Models must meet certain criteria and provide a sample video and complete a model application form, as well as meet specific physical requirements. The application has mandatory fields for height and weight.
Additionally, models must show their faces and other body parts, which may be a problem for those who are not comfortable doing that.
Dollar Feet Fees
Dollar Feet does not charge a seller fee to models for uploading their video footage.
In addition to meeting specific physical requirements, filling out the extensive model application form (which also asks for your personal address and phone number), and having to show your face and other body parts, it should be noted that Dollar Feet is located outside of the US.
Some might be uncomfortable providing personal contact information to a foreign company.
Feet Lovers Only
Like the sites mentioned above, Feet Lovers Only is also an online marketplace exclusively for buyers and sellers who are passionate about foot-related media and goods.
How to Sell Feet Pics on Feet Lovers Only
Registration is free for sellers, and once complete, you can start listing your products for sale, which include pictures, videos, and other related goods related to feet.
Feet Lovers Only works like other marketplaces, and the premium seller account ($14.99/month) comes with various features such as unlimited messaging, the ability to browse all buyers, contact them directly, and add polls, posts, and images directly in your activity feet.
Feet Lovers Only fees
You can register for free, but the premium seller account is $14.99 per month or $69.99 for six months, which works out to roughly one month free. You keep 100% of your profits, and as mentioned above, the premium seller account comes with various features.
Wikifeet
An unexpected name for a website about feet, but here we are. Wikifeet exists. It offers free access to pictures, videos, and other foot-related content of famous people worldwide.
The site also includes discussion forums, where users can share their foot photos and have the opportunity to be selected as the feet of the year or foot of the week.
How to Sell Feet Pics on Wikifeet
Wikifeet doesn't have a specific feature for users to sell their foot photos, as it primarily functions as a fan-based website. However, users can upload their own foot photos and have others appreciate them, and possibly even use them in marketing campaigns on social media sites.
It's more of a promotional site to build an audience of potential buyers.
Wikifeet fees
Wikifeet is a free platform that allows users to access all content without any cost.
General Marketplaces & Platforms to Sell Feet Pics
Of course, you don't need feet-specific sites like those above to sell your foot pics. There are many other sites and platforms, some with a larger foot fan audience.
Facebook Groups
Facebook Groups are probably not your first go-to when you think of feet pics, but there are Facebook Groups that cater to feet pic lovers. Just like the saying, “there's an app for that”, there's probably a Facebook Group for that.
How to Sell Feet Pics on Facebook Groups
You can search for groups that cater to feet pic enthusiasts and join them. Each group will have its own set of rules regarding selling, buying, payment methods, etc.
To find groups that allow selling feet pics, type in relevant keywords or hashtags into the search field above the menu on the top left side of your Facebook home page.
On the mobile app, there's a search magnifying glass/lens icon next to the messenger icon at the top-right corner of your screen.
Keywords like “feet pics,” “feet pics for sale,” “buy feet pics”, “feet lovers”, etc. will bring up pages and groups. If you don't find what you're looking for, you can expand your search to include searches for high-heel pictures, legs, etc. Be creative if you need to be.
Then you can filter for groups.
It's not the most obvious place to sell feet pics, but you have access to a large number of potential buyers. Make sure to follow each group's rules, policies, and read and understand each group’s guidelines before posting your content.
Facebook Groups are free to use, of course, but certain groups may charge a fee or commission for selling feet pics.
I'm pretty sure you've heard of Twitter, and you know it's a popular platform for businesses and individuals to promote their brand and connect with their audience, foot pic sellers included.
How to Sell Feet Pics on Twitter
There are two common methods for selling feet pics on Twitter.
- Post your feet pictures on your feed and wait for an interested buyer to direct message (DM) you. At this point, you can negotiate pricing and delivery, and buyers may request special or custom orders that you can charge more for.
- Use Twitter as a marketing tool for other feet fan pages like the ones you’ve created on other platforms. Some of your followers on your Twitter will become potential buyers, and you can redirect them to your other accounts.
Twitter Fees
There are no fees to sell feet pics on Twitter, but if you don't want bots or scammers to steal your pics and copy your profile, you'll need to cough up $8 a month for the infamous blue verification check.
Also, if you use your page as a marketing tool for other paid services or sell directly using third-party payment processors, there will be fees associated with them.
Like Twitter, you've probably also heard of a little app called Instagram.
This is, of course, a free social media platform that allows users to share photos and videos, and it's available on both iOS and Android. With over a gazillion active monthly users (okay, I think it's just 1.3 billionish but who's counting), it's an exceptionally popular platform to post visual content. Foot pics included.
How to Sell Feet Pics on Instagram
To sell feet pics on Instagram, you should create an account specifically for posting feet-related content. This will help attract the right audience. If people are interested in feet, they'll follow. If they're not, they won't, and you don't want them to anyway.
Keep a separate account for other types of content.
A dedicated account for feet content makes it easier for potential buyers to find you, and you should avoid posting any pictures where your feet aren't visible.
Once you have a following, interested buyers may contact you on Instagram requesting your feet pictures. To sell, you can send them a PayPal invoice using your business account (more on that below) or a Stripe payment link with payment details for your buyer.
Alternatively, you can also use Instagram to promote and send potential buyers to other platforms, like Feetfinder, Feetpics, etc.
Instagram Fees
There are no fees to use Instagram or to sell feet pics. However, there will be transaction fees for Stripe, PayPal, or other payment processing platforms.
Also, if you're using Instagram to promote and redirect potential buyers to other platforms, those platforms may charge listing or transaction fees.
Snapchat
For anyone living under a rock (not you, of course… but someone maybe), Snapchat is a social media platform that allows users to share photos and videos that disappear after 24 hours.
It has a large user base, making it a popular place for businesses to market their products and services.
How to Sell Feet Pics on Snapchat
To sell feet pics on Snapchat, you should create a premium (private) account, which allows you to give paying subscribers access to your exclusive content. You can set your own subscriber fee for unlimited access to your feet pics and feet videos.
In addition, upgrading to SnapChat Plus will allow you to save your snaps to your My Story indefinitely, where subscribers will always have access.
To accept payments, you will need to manually process them from subscribers. This can be done through PayPal, Stripe, Cash App, or Venmo.
It's important to keep in mind that a premium account requires constant engagement and posting to keep your subscribers interested and coming back for more. You'll also want to adhere to SnapChat's guidelines.
Snapchat Fees
Creating a SnapChat Plus account will cost you $3.99 per month, but the platform will not take a cut of your earnings. You will need to pay any fees associated with payment processing through your chosen payment method.
TikTok
Feeling a little like a broken record here, but TikTok is yet another social media app that allows users to share content with their followers, as I'm sure you know.
The specific type of content on TikTok is short videos.
I can still remember when it was a new app that only kids used. Now it's up there with billionish active users worldwide.
How Does Selling Feet Pics on TikTok Work?
Although it's not a foot pic platform, feet-related content creators can leverage TikTok's massive user base to gain more followers and potentially sell their pics like you would on other social media platforms, or as a way to drive traffic to other platforms.
One unique aspect of TikTok is the ability to create live streams, which can be a great way for feet content creators to engage with their fans. Creators can also use short videos to showcase their work (aka amazing feet) and build a following.
TikTok Fees
TikTok is free, but there are some privacy issues that, in a roundabout way, are an indirect cost.
Tinder
Tinder is a mobile dating app that allows users to create a profile with pictures and a bio to match with other users based on location and preferences.
In other words, it's built for dating, not selling. So promoting your feet pics will require some creativity.
How to Sell Feet Pics on Tinder
You can use Tinder to promote your feet pics, just not directly. You'll need to create a profile and be active on the platform.
Once you've gained some traction with your profile, you may start getting messages and making connections with people. Through back-and-forth chatting, you can determine who might be interested in your pics.
Since selling directly on this platform isn't allowed, you can show your pics to find potential buyers who can purchase from other platforms.
You should not use sale-related words such as “for sale”, “use coupon code Feet Friday,” or “hey everyone, I'm selling my feet pics over here”.
Okay, I'm exaggerating, but any sale-type lingo will likely get your account flagged and possibly shut down. Therefore, Tinder is not for making sales directly.
Tinder Fees
Tinder is free to download and use. However, if you want access to additional features like unlimited swipes and the ability to see who has liked your profile, you can upgrade to Tinder Plus or Tinder Gold for a monthly fee.
Foap
Foap is a general photography website that offers users an opportunity to sell their photos and potentially earn some extra money. While it's not dedicated to photos of feet, you can upload your feet photos and sell them on the platform.
How to Sell Feet Pics on Foap
To get started, install the app and create an account. Then, you can upload your feet photos to your portfolio for potential buyers to access.
Foap offers photo missions or challenges where photographers can compete for lucrative cash prizes worth up to $500 for each image.
Foap Fees
Foap fees are pretty steep, unfortunately. They take a 50% commission from each sale. Buyers pay $10 for each photo they purchase from you, so your take is only five bucks. So it's probably not the best option to sell your pics, but it's one more platform to find buyers.
Additionally, Foap coins can be used to participate in exclusive photo missions tailored for experienced sellers or freelance photographers.
Whisper
Whisper is an anonymous tell-all social media platform on iOS and Android devices. They claim to have 30 million active users, but there's some controversy surrounding Whisper.
At one point, it was removed from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store because of excessive scammers.
It's currently up and running right now, though, so it's a platform for potential customers.
The premise behind Whisper is that it allows users to share secrets, confessions, and thoughts anonymously without fear of being judged or identified. This unique feature creates a safe space for users to express themselves freely and connect with others who share similar experiences and interests.
You can see how this can be useful for buying and selling feet pics.
How to Sell Feet Pics on Whisper
While Whisper wasn't specifically designed for selling feet pics, again, like other platforms, it can be used to push interested buyers towards other platforms where selling is much simpler.
To market and sell your feet pics on Whisper, it's important to understand the community and its culture. You can start by creating anonymous posts related to your foot fetish niche, such as sharing tips for foot care or interesting facts about feet.
As users engage with your content, you can establish a relationship and provide them with links to your other platforms where you sell feet pics.
If someone wants to buy directly from the platform, you'll need a third-party payment processor because payments cannot be processed directly through Whisper.
Whisper Fees
Using Whisper is free. However, if you choose to use external payment systems to sell feet pics, you will have transaction fees or commission charges, depending on the platform you use.
Kik
Kik is a free messaging and chat app that allows you to upload content and attract potential buyers.
How to Sell Feet Pics on Kik
To start on Kik, you'll need is a valid email address to sign up. Once you've created your account, you can start uploading pictures of your feet for potential customers to find. You can connect with buyers through private messages to negotiate prices and complete transactions.
Kik also offers groups, allowing you to connect with similar people in your community to share tips and tricks on selling your feet pics.
Kik Fees
Kik is completely free to use and does not charge any fees for selling feet pics. But, like other platforms, they do not process payments in-house. You'll need a payment processor like PayPal or Stripe, and fees will be associated with those platforms.
MeetMe
MeetMe is a social networking app that allows users to connect and interact with other users through live streaming, chatting, and other features.
How to Sell Feet Pics on MeetMe
There are two ways to promote your feet pics on MeetMe, live streaming and chatting.
With live streaming, you can go live and perform foot shows for your viewers and earn revenue based on the number of views your stream receives.
In chats, you can sell your feet pics to interested buyers using third-party payment methods such as PayPal, Stripe, Cash App, or Venmo.
MeetMe Fees
There are no fees associated with using MeetMe to sell your feet pics. Like the other platforms on this list, though, you'll incur payment processor fees depending on the processor you use.
Zazzle
Zazzle is a print-on-demand eCommerce platform that allows artists, designers, and photographers to sell their creations as prints on a wide range of products.
The platform offers an opportunity for foot pic sellers to sell various products like mugs, business cards, clothes, postage stamps, and more to foot aficionados.
How to Sell Feet Pics on Zazzle
To start selling on Zazzle, you need to create an account using an email address or through Facebook or Google.
After validating your email, you'll be required to fill out a form describing your store, including your tagline, store banner image, and tags for easier identification.
Once done, you can create your products by putting feet pics on various products like accessories, art & wall décor, home & living, toys & games, electronics, clothing & shoes, and crafts & party supplies.
Zazzle Fees
Zazzle lets you decide how much you make per sale and offers you royalties for as long as your items sell and the platform exists. However, you should note that Zazzle charges fees for the base price of each product sold, and the amount of the fee depends on the product's category.
Printify
Printify is another print-on-demand marketplace that offers a wide range of blank products that can be customized with your own designs. You can then list these products on your online shop.
For instance, if you have a picture of your feet up on a bench overlooking a lake, you can use artistic filters and print them on various products.
How to Sell Feet Pics on Printify
When you sign up for a Printify account, you get access to a wide range of products and services, and all of those are sold under its Free plan.
However, you only pay Printify when a customer places an order.
Therefore, you get low initial cost advantages of dropshipping and no need to store or inventory products.
When a customer buys one of those items, you accept payment from the customer, and only then is the product printed and shipped. It's a good way to start small and build up some extra cash back for your business.
Printify Fees
Signing up for Printify and designing products is free. You only pay for the products that you sell. Each product has a base cost that includes the cost of the product and the printing.
When you sell a product, the difference between the base cost and your selling price is your profit. Printify also offers a Premium plan for $29/month, which gives you up to 20% off products and an enterprise plan with a dedicated account manager, API integration, and other enterprise features.
Etsy
Etsy is an online marketplace where individuals can sell unique and creative items, ranging from digitally-created content to vintage and handmade items.
There are some guidelines you must follow, and mature content is on Etsy's prohibited items list. Feet pics are not inherently mature content in the context of what Etsy is referring to, I don't think, but certain pics could push up against that line. Especially if someone were to complain, it may be subject to review.
Good judgment is definitely required here.
But generally speaking, you can sell feet pics or artistic times related to feet without any issues.
How to Sell Feet Pics on Etsy
To start selling on Etsy, you need to create an account and set up a shop. You can then add your feet pictures and products to your store.
Related products you can offer might be foot jewelery, temporary tattoos, nail care products, foot care products, etc. For example, your store might sell anklets, foot rings, and even handmade socks.
Using your feet pictures as part of your product listing can help potential buyers get a better idea of what they're purchasing and increase your chances of making a sale.
Sellers on Etsy are encouraged to be customer-centric and to use creative marketing skills to promote their products. Offering packages of alluring foot pictures can encourage customers to purchase your product, and strategically placed foot pictures can also help attract buyers.
Etsy Fees
Etsy charges a small listing fee of $0.20 per item. They also take a 6.5% transaction fee from the sale price, which includes shipping costs.
Finally, there are payment processing fees which vary by country. In the US, processing fees are 3% + $.25 USD, and in Canada, they are 3% + $.25 CAD.
In most other countries, they are 4% or higher, plus $.30 – $.35 local currency. You can find more information on their fee basics page.
Craigslist
Craigslist is a classified ads website that has existed since before most of us even knew what the internet was (1995).
Of course, you're probably familiar with it now. You can post any kind of ad, including, dare I say, ones seeking partners for certain types of services.
Anyway, Craigslist has highly specific sections, including one dedicated to feet photos (provided current listings are present).
How to Sell Feet Pics on Craigslist
Selling feet pics on Craigslist can be a good option for those who just want to sell pics and not promote them online beyond their chosen platform. It's a classified section, so you know people will be browsing, and it's likely to be less competitive than feet-specific platforms.
Craigslist also has a wide reach, making it an appealing option for sellers. People who want to buy feet pics but are uncomfortable setting up accounts and browsing sites like Feetify, for example, will likely be looking on Craigslist.
However, caution should be exercised when dealing with buyers on Craigslist. It's important to use anti-fraud precautions such as third-party platforms like PayPal for transactions.
Craigslist Fees
Craigslist fees are for specific categories such as jobs, real estate, and vehicles. And they vary by country, state, province, etc. However, there are no fees to post your feet photos.
eBay
You've certainly heard of eBay. It's an online marketplace where buyers and sellers can purchase and sell goods from all over the world. It is also one of the most popular and trusted marketplaces on the planet, with millions of buyers and sellers.
How to Sell Feet Pics on eBay
While eBay is primarily used to sell physical products, it can also be used to sell digital items like feet pics. You can also sell printed copies of your feet pics.
To stand out, make sure that you include clear and well-lit photos with a watermark to prevent theft of your content.
In your item description, make sure to clearly state the type of feet pics you are offering and the format in which they will be delivered. This will help buyers understand exactly what they will be receiving when they purchase your item.
When selling feet pics on eBay, it's essential to maintain a good reputation as a seller. Be prompt in responding to messages and shipping your items, and make sure to offer excellent customer service to keep buyers satisfied.
eBay Fees
eBay has a relatively complex fee structure. For example, they have what are called insertion fees of $.35 per listing. They also have final value fees that can range between 12.9 to 15 percent of your total amount to sale. For specific details, make sure to check out their selling fees.
Reddit is another social media platform with a relatively unique twist. It connects individuals on topic-specific subreddits, which are communities dedicated to a particular topic. Inside each subreddit, you can post content or comments related to each specific subreddit's subject matter.
Subreddits are similar to Facebook Groups but with complete anonymity, giving them a much different feel. They also provide an old-school forum-type experience.
How to Sell Feet Pics on Reddit?
To sell feet pics on Reddit, content creators can either organically post their photos on relevant subreddits or pay for ad campaigns to increase their visibility.
Joining relevant subreddits and chat rooms can also help creators reach potential customers without paying for ads. Respect each subreddits' rules and guidelines before posting, as some may have strict policies against selling or trading explicit content.
Reddit fees
Reddit is a free-to-use platform, and there are no fees for posting content or joining subreddits. However, you can pay for ads to increase visibility and get more customers. Advertising fees vary based on the ad type, budget, and audience targeting.
Quora
is a strange place to sell feet pics, and I hadn't even heard about it until someone told me. Weird…
But sure enough, if you search feet pics on Quora, you'll find people asking for feet pics.
Some of the questions you'll find people asking are…
- What are your hottest foot pics?
- Can you post pictures of your feet?
- Which of your feet pics are the best?
- Can I get a picture of your feet?
How to Sell Feet Pics on Quora
You will need to sign up for a free Quora account if you want to post and engage with others. You could try to sell your pics directly on Quora, but the better option might be to provide a link to the platform you are selling feet pics.
Having said that, Quora has a relatively new feature (or at least, a relatively unknown feature) called Quora Spaces that allows you to create communities and collections for specific topics. And you can charge a subscription fee for members to join.
When posting images for sale, make sure they are watermarked and only show lower res versions because it's easy for people to pull screenshots off of Quora.
This is an unconventional and unexpected platform for feet pics, but if you're growing your audience, clearly, there are people there who are interested. If you do post
Quora Fees
Quora has a seemingly complicated membership structure, or at least vague. For example, some answers are behind their paywall, and some are not. You can access paywalled answers with a Quora+ membership which costs $6.99 USD per month or $47.88 annually.
With a Quora+ membership, you can monetize your content and take part in their revenue-sharing program, but just as a side note here, it can't be adult content.
Adult content is only allowed in Quora spaces that are specifically tagged as Adult (not that feet pics are adult content, but make sure to follow their Spaces policies if you use Quora Spaces)
Patreon
Patreon is a membership platform that provides creators with tools to build a subscription-based business. It offers creators the ability to earn recurring revenue by creating content that their audience loves.
How to Sell Feet Pics on Patreon?
To sell feet pics on Patreon, you will, of course, need a Patreon account. Once registered, you can set up your profile and start uploading your feet pics.
However, the best way to make money with your feet on Patreon is by providing exclusive content to subscribers.
Patreon is best to use in combination with a social media account such as Instagram or YouTube channel to connect with your audience and direct them to your Patreon page.
To encourage followers and viewers to join your Patreon page, you can offer exclusive content, such as behind-the-scenes footage, personalized pics, live interactions, etc.
Patreon fees
Patreon is free to join, but does charge a fee once you have started earning money.
Fees range from 5% to 12% depending on the plan you choose. Giving Patreon 5% will get you the Lite account, which includes a hosted creator page, communication tools, and workshops.
The Pro account will cost you 8% of your earnings but comes with membership tiers for your subscribers, analytics tools, and some other features.
Premium gives Patreon a 12% cut and adds a dedicated partner manager, merch, and team accounts.
Stock Photo Sites
Selling or licensing your feet pictures on stock photo sites, start by creating a seller account on sites like Getty Images, Shutterstock, iStock Photos, and Adobe Stock.
Each one will have their own rules, guidelines, and payment structures. You can research and compare before deciding which one to use.
It’s important to note that stock photo websites typically take a commission from each sale, ranging from 15-50%, depending on the site and the type of license sold. However, this can be a great option for those who want to make passive income from their feet photos and provide a large portfolio of images.
Feet pics for stock photo sites will generally appeal to and be used by a much wider audience. Therefore, you have a much wider range of pics you can provide, and you are not limited strictly to feet pics for a specific audience. You're not limited to feet pics at all.
Modeling Agencies
Modeling agencies can provide foot models with an entry into the foot modeling industry. They can provide opportunities for you to showcase your feet and help you build a portfolio that you can use to promote yourself to potential clients.
How to Sell Feet Pics through Modeling Agencies
Modeling agencies are a little more challenging to get started with. Aside from an exceptionally rare (probably rarer than winning a lottery) chance you're walking down the street in flip flops and a modeling agent notices your feet, you will probably have to approach them first.
You'll need to reach out to any nearby marketing companies or modeling agencies that specialize in foot modeling. They will need professional photos of your feet, as well as measurements, etc.
Each agency has different requirements as far as portfolio building goes, but they all have the same goal of promoting their clients. What they are specifically looking for will vary by agency.
Modeling Agencies Fees
The fees involved with modeling agencies vary depending on the agency and the type of work you are doing. For some, you'll be required to pay annual agency fees ranging from one to a few hundred dollars.
Other agencies will take a percentage of your earnings. Anywhere from 10-25% is common. This is their commission for finding you work.
It's important to research the agency before signing a contract to ensure that the fees and services they offer align with your goals as a foot model.
OnlyFans
OnlyFans is a subscription-based website that allows content creators to earn recurring income from subscribers. It's become increasingly popular with those who are looking to monetize their content, and they've become known for a specific type of content.
Having said that, it's not a platform, just one type of content despite its reputation.
Professional and amateur photographers who want to sell foot pictures can also make money on OnlyFans.
How to Sell Feet Pics on OnlyFans
Like all platforms, you'll need an account and a profile. Getting people to your OnlyFans page will require promotion on other platforms, such as YouTube and your social media accounts.
In addition to engaging with your subscribers through video, you can upload your pictures and give access to your subscribers for a set price. Typical rates for subscribers range from $4.99 per month to $49.99.
OnlyFans Fees
OnlyFans takes a 20% creator fee on all subscriber revenues.
Your Own Website or eCommerce Store
Creating your own website or eCommerce store can be another great way to sell feet pics. Not only does it give you complete control over the content you're selling, but it also means you get to keep all of the profits from your sales.
You can also earn additional money with affiliate links, lead generation, and display ads.
When starting your own website or store, the first thing you need is a hosting platform and a CMS (content management system) like WordPress or an eCommerce website builder. You will also need a domain name. From there, you can design and customize your website to fit your brand and the products you're selling, including your feet pics.
An important benefit of having your own website or store is complete control over pricing and promotions. You can set your own prices for your foot pictures and create discounts or promotions as you see fit.
This allows you to be more creative in your marketing approach and can lead to increased sales and revenue.
Another advantage of having your own website or store is the ability to build relationships with your customer base without third-party interference.
By having a direct line of communication with them, you can provide, in some cases, a more personalized experience and build brand loyalty. This can also lead to positive reviews and word-of-mouth marketing, which can be incredibly valuable for growing your business.
You would typically combine this strategy with social media, email marketing, and perhaps YouTube, TikTok, etc.
It's important to know that creating and maintaining a website or eCommerce store takes time and effort. You'll need to invest in marketing and SEO (search engine optimization) to drive traffic to your site, which means you'll need to publish feet-related blog posts and other content that people are searching for online.
Your site must also be secure and user-friendly for customers.
Regarding fees, hosting platforms and payment gateways may charge transaction fees, which are generally lower than the fees charged by other selling platforms. For example, you can start a WordPress site for as little as $5 per month in hosting fees.
More importantly, though, anything you sell on your site is 100% your sale. You don't have to pay any fees to a third-party outside of payment processing fees.
Although it requires a little more time and effort, selling feet pics on your own website or eCommerce store can be a great way to build a brand and sell products on your own terms.
Step 2 – Create a Seller Profile on Your Chosen Platform
Now that we've gone through the many platforms, websites, and strategies you can use to sell pictures of your feet, creating your seller profile is an important next step.
Being professional will give you credibility and a good reputation as a seller.
The exact step-by-step instructions will depend on your chosen platform, but here are some general tips for creating a compelling seller profile…
- Choose a catchy username – Your username should be unique and catchy to attract potential buyers.
- Write a clear and detailed description – Your description should include some information about yourself, the type of pictures you sell, and any other relevant details.
Be honest and transparent about what you offer.
And, of course, although you need to provide some information about yourself, you must also use discretion. I'll talk more about protecting yourself below, but for now, it's important only to provide information you're comfortable with and information that does not reveal your actual identity. - Showcase your portfolio – Your portfolio should include high-quality photos of your feet, which we will discuss below. If the platform allows it, you should categorize them by different themes, styles, poses, etc., to make them easier for buyers to browse.
Step 3 – Set Your Price
Deciding how much to charge for each picture is completely up to you and can depend on your time, skill level, and the complexity of the photo shoot.
Generally speaking, most people charge anywhere between $5 to $100 per foot photo, but the average price ranges between $15 and $25. It also depends on whether you're selling a package of photos or a single picture.
If you have creative ideas or are skilled in photography, you should capitalize on them.
Feel free to bump your prices up if you feel like your work deserves more recognition and money.
Also, don't be afraid to start small. Determine a comfortable starting price, then gradually increase it as the demand for your work increases.
I'll include more tips and advice on selling and promoting feet pics below, along with ways to determine your price.
Step 4 – Take High-Quality Photos of Your Feet
When it comes to selling feet pictures, the quality of the photos is crucial. Buyers want to see clear, well-lit images that showcase the details of the feet, including the shape, size, and skin texture. Here are some quick suggestions for taking high-quality photos, and I'll follow up with some more in-depth tips further below…
Choose the Right Equipment
To take high-quality photos, you'll need the right equipment. A good camera is important, but it doesn't necessarily have to be an expensive one. Your phone camera is probably more than good enough to get started.
Generally speaking, though, a camera with at least 12 megapixels is a good place to begin, and make sure it has a good lens. A tripod can also be helpful to keep your camera steady and avoid blurry shots.
Choose the Right Lighting Equipment
Good lighting is key to taking great photos. Natural light is often the best choice. For indoor photos, try to take your photos near a window during the daytime. For outdoor pics, the last hour before sunset will provide great lighting.
If you need to take photos at night or indoors where natural light is unavailable, invest in some good quality lighting equipment, such as softbox lights.
Use a Backdrop
In most cases, you'll want interesting backgrounds and settings, but a plain backdrop can help make your feet the center of attention in your photos. You can use a simple white or black sheet or invest in a professional backdrop specifically designed for photography.
Choose the Right Props
Props can add interest and variety to your photos. Think about what kind of props might work well with your feet, such as foot jewelry and temporary tattoos. Choose props that complement your feet and add to the overall aesthetic of the photo.
Experiment with Different Angles and Poses
Don't be afraid to get creative with your photos. Try out different angles and poses to find the ones that work best for you.
You can experiment with different levels, such as taking photos from above or below your feet, and try different poses to showcase your feet in different ways.
You can take close-up shots, extreme close-up shots, long shots, wide-angle shots, high-angle shots, etc.
Action shots with arcs of water or sand are another great way to display your feet in a unique way.
Remember, taking high-quality photos is an important part of selling feet pics, so take your time to get it right. With the right equipment, lighting, and props, you can create stunning photos that are sure to attract buyers.
Popular Feet Pic Poses
Tops of Feet
This pose is the most common and shows the top of your feet and the overall shape of your foot. It also highlights any tattoos, decorations, accessories, and of that pedicure. It's a great pose for showing off your nail polish and feet in unique ways and in unique settings.
Bottoms of Feet (foot soles)
A necessary pose for foot images, these photographs can be partial such as toes, arch, heel, or balls of your feet individually, or you can show off everything from heel to toe. Just be sure to clean your feet thoroughly first, unless a less-than-clean foot is what you're going for.

A fun and playful pose, this one involves spreading your toes as wide as possible to show off the dexterity of your feet. It's a great way to engage with your audience and showcase your foot flexibility.

Feet and Leg Pose
Similar to foot and body poses, these poses involve combining your feet with your legs to create unique and interesting compositions.

Combination Poses
These poses involve combining different elements of foot poses to create unique and interesting compositions. Whether it's toes spread and foot arch or bottoms of feet and nail art, you have countless options.
In addition to the various poses, there are many creative settings for taking feet pics as well.
You can take pics at the beach in the sand and water, on a cozy bed with fluffy pillows, a yoga mat, with exercise equipment, or in a garden with colorful flowers.
Other popular settings include sitting on a windowsill or by the pool.
And don't forget props, such as foot accessories, foot jewelry, and even food or a pet to make your pictures stand out.
Finally, no discussion about feet pics is complete without also talking about foot care, but I'll go further into that in a moment.
First, let's discuss the next step. Uploading your feet pics.
Step 5 – Upload Your Feet Pics
Now that you've taken your pictures, you need to upload them. The process will differ depending on which site you're uploading them, but it's generally simple. If you've uploaded pictures to social media before, you've got this covered.
Whichever platform you choose, follow their instructions and make sure your photos meet their guidelines.
Some things to consider before uploading are ensuring your pictures are high enough quality and that you have your desired poses, angles, and other elements just right.
You can use functions such as light and contrast enhancement on built-in editing software or download separate editing apps such as Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop Express, YouCam Perfect, or Snapseed, just to name a few.
These apps will help ensure that your pictures look professional and draw attention from potential buyers.
You'll also want to double-check the backgrounds in each pic to make sure there's nothing you wouldn't want people to see.
When you’re ready to upload your photos, be sure to choose the highest possible resolution for maximum quality. You may have to resize depending on the platform you have chosen. In that case, it's critical that you maintain the resolution when converting and exporting your photo to the required file type.
Different platforms often have different requirements for what file types are acceptable for upload, so make sure to select an option that is supported on your chosen platform.
Once you've reviewed picture quality, color, composition, lighting, format, etc., you'll be ready to upload them on your chosen platform.
Step 6 – Promoting and Driving Traffic to Your Pics
Promoting your feet pics effectively, even aggressively, is essential if you want to make a name for yourself (or a name for your feet, as it were).
Of course, this depends on your target audience.
If you're promoting your feet pics to modeling agencies, for example, where and how you promote them will be different than if you were promoting them to a different audience.
But some general rules and strategies apply.
An important first step when marketing foot photos is to use the right hashtags on social media sites like Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok. Not only will it make it easier for people who search for those terms to find your images, but it will also help curators from various sites to discover them too.
Additionally, consider increasing the number of listings on different websites to maximize exposure.
You should be sure to include accurate descriptions and categorize them properly, as well as use relevant keywords and tags that relate to the image.
Here are some examples to consider…
Keywords…

Finally, don’t forget about advertising to get more people interested in your foot photos.
By targeting specific audiences on search engines like Google and Bing or social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and Facebook, you can significantly increase traffic to your chosen platforms or personal website.
There is a cost to advertising, of course, but the extra exposure and the quality of your portfolio may result in more than enough sales to pay for it.
And be persistent. Building an online following takes time, but it is well worth the effort and can lead to significant income.
Step 7 – Accept Payment and Deliver Your Foot Pictures
Accepting payments for your feet pics can be simple with the right app or platform. When choosing your platform, look for one that has a built-in payment processing system.
There will usually be fees associated with these platforms (which we discussed earlier), but selling feet pics (or selling anything) and collecting payment without professionally built platforms is significantly harder.
Whichever platform you choose, you will be required to link your payment processor to it (such as PayPal, Payoneer, your bank, etc.)
Generally, this is simple. For third-party platforms, your buyer pays them. They keep a percentage and deposit the remainder in your account.
Your account could mean directly to your bank, but my personal preference for online payments (whether receiving or paying) is PayPal. I receive as many online payments through them as possible, but not all vendors use PayPal. So I also work with other platforms online use others, such as Payoneer.
Using a pre-existing platform that allows selling directly on their site also saves time and paperwork by eliminating the need for manual invoices or processing payments offline through checks, cash, etc.(not that you'd want to use checks or cash if you don't have to).
Not to mention, the easier it is for your customers to pay, the more likely they are to buy.
In addition to accessible payment options, many platforms also provide helpful features like analytics tools and digital inventory management to better track who’s buying what and how much they’re spending.
Step 8 – Manage Your Customer Relationships (Safely)
Staying engaged with your fans and customers is a crucial part of earning income by selling feet pics, especially if you want to earn a significant income. It's easier to build relationships with existing customers and keep them coming back for more than it is to find new customers.
However, in the context of selling feet pics, it's important to do this while maintaining anonymity. You probably want to keep your personal life separate from your business.
One way to stay engaged with customers while maintaining anonymity is to use a pseudonym or online persona to interact with them. This can be as simple as creating a separate email address and social media account for your feet pic business and ONLY using that account to communicate with customers.
When responding to customers, try to do it promptly and professionally. You can even offer discounts or special offers to repeat customers or send out newsletters or updates to keep them engaged with your persona.
Another way to stay engaged with customers is to create a sense of community around your feet pic business. This can be done by creating a private Facebook group, Patreon, or Discord server for customers to join, where they can interact with each other and with you.
This can help to create a sense of loyalty and keep customers coming back.
Overall, the key to staying engaged with customers while maintaining anonymity is to be responsive, professional, and consistent in your communication. Demand respect and refuse to cross any line you're uncomfortable with. That may include occasionally kicking a member out of any group you've created.
For the most part, those are the necessary steps to successfully selling feet pics online. The rest is just rinse and repeat.
The Benefits and Drawbacks of Selling Feet Pics
There are many advantages to selling pictures of your feet. Sure, it's uncommon, and some might even call it strange, but there's a market for it. Someone is going to make money selling feet pics.
Of course, there are disadvantages too, which I'll discuss below…
Benefits of Selling Feet Pics
- There is potential for high income. Depending on the market and the quality of your photos, selling feet pics can be a lucrative side hustle or even a full-time job.
- It's a flexible gig. You can take and upload photos in your spare time and on your own schedule. You can do it more often or less often and work at your own pace.
- There's an “influencer” type aspect to it, but with anonymity. If you’re looking to make money online but want to keep your identity private, selling feet pics can be a good option, as it doesn’t require you to show your face.
- Low startup cost and easy barrier to entry. Unlike traditional businesses that require leases, equipment, staff, etc., selling feet pics doesn’t require a large investment.
- It's a stable niche. The demand for feet pics may be relatively small and unique, but it’s also relatively consistent, meaning you won't struggle to find people who are interested in pics of feet.
- You can earn passive/residual income. One of the great things about selling online is earning money at any hour of the day, whether you are actively working or not. You can spend a weekend taking foot pics and a few weeks promoting them. And then take time off while they sell for months, if not longer.
- It's a fun and creative way to make money. You'll also learn new skills in the process.
Drawbacks of Selling Feet Pics
- There's a negative stigma or perception around selling feet pics, and you may find yourself unfairly judged by friends, family, or even society. Having said that, when my friend told me she was selling feet pics, I was supportive and glad she found a way to improve her financial situation.
- There are some security risks, although being careful should mitigate them. But sharing personal information or photos online always comes with some level of risk, including the possibility of scams, hacking, or harassment.
Also, if you have unique tattoos on your feet or something that can identify you, someone may recognize you. It's highly unlikely but not impossible. - For some, there may be an emotional toll. Selling feet pics can become emotionally draining, especially if you’re dealing with demanding or inappropriate customers and comments. There can also be anxiety and worry about being recognized.
Additionally, discouragement and insecurity are possible if your pictures don't sell. - Although the potential for high income exists, there is also a potential for limited sales or even none at all. The market for feet pics is far more popular than I realized before I found out about it, and I was surprised it was even a thing, to be honest.
But still, it's a relatively small market, and it's competitive. You'll have to get good at marketing your feet photo business. - Inconsistency is another drawback or con to selling feet pics. Because it's a relatively small market, sales can be unpredictable. You might make decent money one month and then nothing for two months, followed by a sale here and there a month later.
While the market itself is consistent, individual sales can fluctuate, which means your income may not be stable or reliable. - Foot care and upkeep. Unfortunately, some buyers might be put off by feet they find unattractive (full disclosure, I have horrible feet) and things like heel calluses, chapped skin, and bunions. Keeping your feet tip-top requires effort.
Additionally, foot models often have to control their diet because any changes in weight, skin tone, etc., can affect their appearance and impact sales. - Rules and regulations are another group of potential issues you may deal with. Rules regarding the sale of feet pics differ from country to country. And in a politically charged society, it's not inconceivable for new laws to get passed, particularly if there are instances where the age of the model is in question.
- Promoting your pics and getting traffic to your profiles and accounts is easier said than done. I've been building audiences and generating traffic online for quite a few years, and it's working. Sometimes it's hard work.
People often think it just happens automatically, and there is no shortage of gurus willing to tell you it's easy if you just buy their proven system, but the reality is quite different. I know many successful online marketers and people who sell stuff online, and not one of them did it with ease. - Your images may get stolen. Of course, your preview pics should be low-res and watermarked, but once someone purchases one of your pics, there is no way of knowing what happens to it after that.
How to Sell Your Feet Pics Safely
You want to make extra money by selling pictures of your feet, but you also want to do it safely.
It's not necessarily “dangerous”, but there are people out there who try to take advantage of others. So you must take precautions and protect yourself from potential scams and people with bad intentions.
There are several steps you can take to do this, such as only doing business with established and reputable companies and making sure all payments are processed through secure payment systems.
But let's look at these precautions one by one in more detail.
Keep Your Face Hidden
When selling pictures of your feet online, it's important to keep your identity anonymous and protect your privacy. This means that you should never expose your face in your pictures. At the very least, take shots that blur your face in the face in the background.
This can be done using a lens with a long focal length or in post with editing software.
Many clients who purchase feet pictures want to focus solely on the feet without being able to identify the person behind them anyway.
By keeping your face hidden, you can protect yourself from any potential stalkers or unwanted attention.
It's not necessarily essential to remain anonymous, particularly if you want to start a Patreon account, for example. But it is an important decision to make early.
You can always start taking your pictures with a sense of disguise and mystique and then go more public later if you decide.
But the safest is certainly to remain anonymous.
Even if you think that nobody would recognize you or be able to track down the source of the images, there is no way of knowing for sure. By avoiding showing your face in the pictures, you can ensure that your safety is not compromised.
To keep your identity hidden, you can use various methods, such as wearing a mask or, as mentioned above, using photo-editing software to blur out your face.
It's also important to be cautious about sharing any personal information or identifying details in the pictures, such as tattoos or birthmarks.
Remember, safety should always be a top priority when selling pictures of your feet online. By keeping your face hidden and maintaining anonymity, you can protect yourself from any potential risks or unwanted attention.
Don't Reveal Your Identity
When selling pictures of your feet online safely, it's crucial to keep your identity a secret to protect yourself from potential problems or abuse related to the sale of this material.
This is essential even if you decide to show your face.
You should never share personal information online, including your name, location, phone number, or even your personal social media profiles, which can be used to connect buyers back to you.
Even if you manage these aspects with discretion and care, it's still necessary to take extra steps to protect your identity on websites that require certified IDs.
When choosing a website for selling feet pictures, it's essential to conduct some research beforehand to evaluate which platform would provide better security options.
Always opt for sites that offer strict secrecy controls and proper procedures when verifying users' identities to avoid revealing too many details about yourself. By doing so, potential customers won't have access to any private information concerning your identity.
Keeping your identity secret will benefit both parties. Customers can have access to a professional service while maintaining their privacy, and you can ensure that your identity remains strictly confidential and protected at all times.
Anonymity is key to being safe when selling feet pictures online.
Ignore Personal Inquiries
You can respond to your audience and fans for general inquiries and as your persona, but do not engage with them when things get personal.
Set ground rules and boundaries. And don't waiver.
Let people know you do not respond to questions about where you live, your age, or anything else that might be used to identify you. And if anyone asks these questions, block them immediately.
Protect Yourself From Scams, Phishing Attacks, Etc.
When building an online presence, you're usually more susceptible to grifters and anyone who wants to do others harm. So, it's important to protect yourself from scams and phishing attacks as well.
Do not respond to personal inquiries, especially those requesting bank or credit card numbers, social security numbers, passwords, or any other personal information.
I know all of this sounds obvious, but it must be said. It's easy to let your guard down just out of habit and then realize the moment you said or typed something that you made a mistake.
Most people will respect your privacy, so personal questions are almost certainly a con artist or a potentially dangerous person trying to gain access to your identity and money.
It can also be difficult to tell if a person has honest intentions or is hiding behind a company, so research the person who asked the question before responding.
For example, you may have someone reach out to claiming to be from a brand that wants to sponsor you. Perhaps they want to know if you have a YouTube channel or Instagram profile where you can recommend their products.
Through this process, they'll attempt to build a rapport with you, make you comfortable, and hope you let your guard down.
So do your research and confirm the legitimacy of all requests. Keep an eye out like a hawk for potential red flags, and if you see them, refuse to respond any further.
In general, it's wise to limit the amount of personal details shared with anyone online or offline as much as possible, even if they are from a legitimate company.
The more information about you that gets out there increases your chances of being doxed. And it doesn't have to be on purpose, it could just be someone saying, “oh, I know that person,” before realizing they said something they shouldn't have.
I have some personal experience with this.
Anyway, protecting your personal information is crucial to prevent any potential identity theft or fraud.
As mentioned several times, always use a secure payment method, such as PayPal, to receive payment for your feet pictures. This will help prevent any potential fraudulent charges or transactions.
By taking these precautions, you can protect yourself from scams and phishing attacks while selling feet pictures online. And it's always better to err on the side of caution and prioritize your safety and security.
Use a VPN
Using a VPN is pretty much a mandatory step to keeping your identity safe online, and of course, this is particularly relevant when selling foot pics online.
A VPN (Virtual Private Network) is a software that hides your location and encrypts the data, so instead of having a visible IP address, hackers can only see an IP address associated with the VPN provider.
All data sent and received through this connection will be protected from the outside eyes.
When looking for a VPN subscription, ensure that the service is compatible with your device's operating system. Also, keep an eye out for discounts and as most popular VPN providers offer occasional promotions and deals.
Most VPN services cost less than $10 per month, depending on which plan you decide to go with, especially if you're paying annually. Some popular options are NordVPN (which is what I use) and ExpressVPN.
Both offer various features such as automated IP switching, spam filtering, and of course, fast connection speeds.
Make sure to check if the service is compatible with your device's operating system.
Turn Off Device Location Services
When selling photos of any kind, it's important to protect your privacy by turning off location services on your device.
Location services can include metadata that reveals the exact location from where the photo was taken, putting you at risk if this information falls into the wrong hands.
Disabling location services is a simple process that can be done by navigating to the settings menu on your camera or phone and toggling off any options related to specific location tagging or sharing personal data with third parties.
Scammers, hackers, and stalkers are clever at identifying people by combining though information from their photos. Small clues can lead them to personal data collected from other sources.
Watermark Your Photos
To protect your images from being stolen, you should add a watermark to your preview photos. By doing so, you can ensure that your images can't be used without your permission.
While some may use them with watermarks anyway, this gives you some peace of mind knowing that your work is used legitimately if it gets published somewhere else. Your watermark will identify ownership, so anyone who buys from you will know who produced these works.
If your photos turn up on stock photo sites without your permission, it will be easier to have them taken down.
Adding a watermark to your preview images is simple, and you can use free tools like Canva.
You can add your own logo or signature creatively, or you can simply write “PREVIEW ONLY” across the image in a good spot.
This not only helps to protect against theft, but it also looks professional and can attract potential buyers.
ONLY Use Secure Payment Gateways
Yes, I'll mention it again. When selling digital content, it is critical to prioritize security for all transactions. This is important for you but just as important for your buyer.
Most potential buyers will not give out their credit card information or PayPal details to a site or payment processor they don't recognize as being safe or credible.
So, only use secure payment gateways such as Stripe, PayPal, Cash App, and Venmo. Or, stick to platforms like Patreon and others that have built-in payment methods.
These gateways and platforms allow for easy, secure, and fast transfer of funds in exchange for your digital products while also protecting your sensitive banking information.
Refuse Physical Gift Card Payments
When selling any type of product or service online, you'll need to be on the watch for potential scams and fraud daily. It's frustrating, but it's a reality.
One scam out there involves offering payment with physical gift cards. But whether you’re selling photographs or anything else, you should never accept this method of payment.
First, the reason some people try to pay with physical gift cards is because they can't be traced. In some cases, they'll want to keep their payments hidden from their spouse, for example.
However, you never know if a gift card is legitimate, has funds still available on it, or if it was purchased from a legitimate retailer.
Be Careful (and Suspicious) of Overpayments
Overpayment scams are another type of fraud where scammers use gift cards. In this scam, they send you a fake payment, usually through a fake check or through a hacked account.
They then ask you to send back the overpaid portion of the money, typically in the form of gift cards (or wire transfers that can't be tracked).
They claim they overpaid you by mistake.
This type of scam is common in the foot pics-selling world, and you must be aware of it.
A tactic scammers often use is to create a fake email or message that appears to be from a legit payment platform, such as PayPal or Venmo.
Or they may even use HTML code to create a fake balance in your bank account that looks real. The only way you'll notice this is if you refresh the page or log out and back in.
Then, as mentioned above, the scammer asks you to return what they claim you owe them.
This is a highly organized scam with call centers and local teams of scammers masquerading as couriers. As mentioned, they usually ask for payment in gift cards because they can't be traced or canceled.
To avoid falling for overpayment scams, it's important to be cautious when receiving payments from people you don't know. Here are some tips:
- As discussed many times earlier, use secure payment platforms. Companies like PayPal, Payoneer, or Venmo have built-in fraud protection measures.
- Verify incoming payments. Before sending any goods or services, wait until the payment has cleared and appears in your account. Overpayments are not your problem, and if you want (or need) to issue a refund, do it through official channels.
- Be cautious of emails or messages that appear to be from a payment platform but have strange or suspicious language, URLs, or sender email addresses. If you're unsure, verify the payment by logging into the payment platform DIRECTLY. DO NOT click on any links in the email.
- Report suspicious activity: If you suspect that you have received a fraudulent payment or message, report it to the payment platform immediately. They can help investigate and prevent further scams.
Set Up a PayPal Business Account
Creating a separate PayPal business account with a generic business name is, for all intents and purposes, anonymous. You can choose a random and obscure name like 600FT Holdings LLC, or, well… there are a million vague and meaningless names you can choose.
And create a separate email to use for this account.
By creating an anonymous email ID, password, and other personal data, you can protect yourself from identity theft, hackers, and cybercriminals.
With this type of account, you can also have greater control over your funds and purchases, knowing that no one else (a partner or spouse, for example) has access to your money.
In addition to providing peace of mind, setting up a separate PayPal account with anonymous details will give you added protection from other online scams and phishing attempts.
Plus, not having to use your real name on the account adds an extra layer of convenience, making it easier to change the associated email address if needed.
Only Ship Your Pics After Payment (Never Before)
This sounds obvious, but it's worth discussing.
Never send your pictures before receiving payment. Even if the buyer appears trustworthy, there is always a risk of them not fulfilling their end of the agreement and taking advantage of you.
To prevent this from happening, make sure that the payment has been received and cleared before sharing any pictures.
If you have to, in the case of selling on Craigslist, for example, an extra layer of security might be asking for additional proof of payment, such as a screenshot of their online banking transfer. But this is still sketchy and not recommended.
But whatever you do, take all steps necessary to make sure you get paid for your foot pictures before sending them off.
Don't Discount an Established Price
It's important for photographers to uphold the agreed-upon price point with their clients and avoid discounting the pricing without reason.
This shows a level of professionalism and respect for one another, as well as value for the photographer's work. It also builds trust between the photographer and the client.
If a disagreement arises about the price after photographic services have been rendered, both parties should discuss and negotiate a mutually acceptable solution.
The best solution here, though, is just being crystal clear with your pricing upfront. If there is any doubt, confirm with your buyer what they are getting for the agreed-upon price before the transaction ever takes place.
DO NOT Make Payments To Clients
Another way scammers go after people is to act as previous victims of a scam and request small payments from you to verify your legitimacy.
In this scam, these grifters will pose as potential buyers or interested parties who want to purchase your feet pics. They may claim to be someone who just needs to verify YOUR legitimacy or a buyer who needs a small payment to establish that you're real before they can proceed with the transaction.
They will ask you for a small payment, usually through a payment app or money transfer service, with the promise that they will reimburse you after you have sent the payment.
However, once you send the payment, they, of course, disappear, and you will never hear from them again.
To avoid this scam, just refuse to make any kind of upfront payment, even if it's just a small amount.
Real buyers will not ask you to send them money before they buy your feet pics. And if anyone does refuse to buy because you won't send them a small payment, slam the door on them (metaphorically speaking).
It's not worth it.
Tips for Taking Great Feet Pics
We covered some of these points earlier, but let's expand a little on tips for taking better pics…
Use the Best Camera You Can Afford
Invest in a good camera that allows you to capture high-quality images. The newest flagship smartphones are actually very impressive, and if that's what you have, it's most likely good enough.
But generally speaking, a camera with high resolution and sharp focus is what you need when taking feet pics. You don't need the most expensive camera, but the better your equipment, the better your photos will look.
Get a Tripod and Lighting Equipment
A tripod and lighting gear can make all the difference in the quality of your feet pics.
The tripod helps to stabilize the camera and now only allows you to take pics from a variety of angles, the stability it provides means your images will be significantly sharper.
Lighting is also critical. In fact, it's one of the most important but overlooked aspects of photography, especially when it comes to feet. Good lighting can highlight the curves and lines of your feet, making them look more appealing.
Take a Photography Course
Taking a photography course can help you learn the technical skills needed to take great feet pics. You'll learn about lighting, composition, depth of field, and many other important elements that make a good photograph.
You'll also learn about the benefits and drawbacks so certain file formats, resolutions, etc. This knowledge will help you take better photos, and you can apply it to other areas of your life too.
In fact, you might find yourself with a family, wedding, or pet photography business with your newfound skills.
Choose the Right Time of Day
If you're taking outdoor pics, the time of day matters.
Natural lighting is best, so try taking your photos during the golden hour (the hour just after sunrise or just before sunset) often produces the best results.
During this time, the light is soft and warm, creating a flattering glow that will make your feet and skin tone look amazing.
Location, Location, Location
Don't forget location. As mentioned earlier, a plain background can make your feet stand out and be appropriate in some instances. It can also be boring in others. So consider shooting in various interesting locations.
A beach, garden, a park, a pool, a river bed, a motorcycle, and you name it… can all make for interesting and unique backdrops.
Just remember the purpose of a background is to be a background. Make sure it doesn't distract from your feet.
Don't Forget the Props
Props will add interest and personality to your feet pics.
Consider using objects that complement your feet, such as foot jewelry, flowers, or a favorite pair of socks. Be creative and experiment with different props to find what works best for you.
Take Care of Your Feet
Your photography skills should be on point, but let's not forget your star performers. Your feet.
Taking care of your feet is essential, not only for great pics but for the good health and longevity of your feet.
Here are some critical tips for everyone who sells feet pics and for everyone who just wants to keep their feet healthy and looking their best…
Use a Foot Spa
Foot spas are a great way to soothe your feet and keep them healthy. Soaking your feet in warm water can help ease soreness and stiffness, and adding some Epsom salt can help reduce inflammation.
Exfoliate Your Feet Regularly
Exfoliating your feet helps remove dead skin cells and keeps your skin soft and smooth. Use a pumice stone or foot file to gently scrub away rough skin, but be careful not to overdo it.
Take Care of Your Toenails
Keep your toenails trimmed and clean to avoid ingrown toenails, yellow toenails, and other foot problems. Use a toenail clipper to trim your nails straight across and avoid cutting them too short.
Keep Your Feet Out of The Sun
Too much sun exposure can lead to dry, cracked, and damaged skin on your feet. Wear sunscreen and try to avoid direct sunlight during the hottest parts of the day.
Moisturize Your Feet Daily
Applying a good foot cream or lotion can help keep your feet soft and moisturized. Look for a product that contains natural ingredients like shea butter or coconut oil.
Soak Your Feet
Soaking your feet in warm water can help reduce swelling and soothe tired, achy feet. Add some Epsom salt or essential oils to the water for added relaxation and healing benefits.
Get a Professional Pedicure
Getting a professional pedicure is not only a luxurious treat for your feet, but it also provides many of the benefits mentioned above. Pedicures can help prevent and treat common foot problems such as calluses, dry skin, and ingrown toenails.
A massage and soaking can also improve circulation and reduce stress. Plus, a pedicure can give you a confidence boost and just make you feel better overall.
And finishing off with professional nail art will add that je-ne-sais-quoi.
Tips and Advice For Selling Your Feet Pics
Upload New Photos Frequently
To keep your customers engaged and interested in your brand, it's important to post new photos frequently. This shows your commitment to consistency and that you value their support.
By regularly updating your content with fresh photos, you can improve your visibility in search engine rankings and reach a wider audience.
When sharing new photos, make sure they align with your business objectives and tell a story.
Consider mixing up your content by including product images, customer testimonials, and behind-the-scenes shots to create a captivating narrative.
You can also leverage your regular posts as promotional opportunities by using hashtags or creating industry discussion topics to increase engagement and discoverability of your products or services.
This will help build trust and encourage more interactions with your customers.
Do Competitive Research
Competitive research is critical for every business, including feet pic businesses, to remain relevant and competitive.
I talked a little about pricing your pics earlier, and competitive research is one of the best ways to do that.
What are comparable images selling for?
Are your competitors gradually increasing their prices, or are they dropping their prices?
Observing what other foot pic sellers are doing will provide you with a wealth of knowledge.
This involves analyzing the activities of competitors in the same market space (and also on similar platforms) to gain valuable insights that can help you make informed decisions.
By monitoring competitor prices, portfolio sizes, and best-selling poses, you can better understand what works and what doesn't in the industry.
This data can then be used to build your own business strategies, allowing you to adapt and not only keep up with competition but stay ahead. And yes, selling feet pics is competitive. It doesn't have to be cut-throat, but online attention is at a premium.
Ultimately, competitive research is a valuable tool that can help you optimize your feet picture business and maximize your profits.
Start Out Small And Grow Your Business Gradually
Starting a foot pic business and building a portfolio can be a lot of work, especially if you don't have any photography experience and you've never run an online business before.
When looking at other photographers' pictures, they can seem relatively easy to replicate, but in most cases, that's untrue.
Despite today's high-quality digital cameras and point-and-click editing software, photography is still a skill. So don't get discouraged if it's more difficult and time-consuming than you anticipated.
So it's okay to start small if you're struggling for time and resources, as well as funds for better equipment.
Price your pics on the lower end initially and use what you earn to upgrade your camera and equipment, purchase better props, remote shutters, and so on.
You can also use that money to take a professional photography course.
It's important to remember that these skills, whether it's your photography skills, online business skills, or marketing skills, are all valuable resources you can use in various ways, not only for selling feet pics.
Choose the Right Selling Platforms
When selecting a platform to post and sell your foot pictures, consider which service providers you feel most comfortable with.
Different platforms offer different features and benefits, so finding the one that best suits your goals is essential.
There are numerous popular social media platforms available for posting and sharing foot pictures, including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, and Snapchat. Each site has its own unique look, style of content presentation, and delivery.
And each has its own unique audience.
Additionally, some services may offer slightly different opportunities than others in terms of monetization options. For example, they might have e-commerce resources or other tools that can help make selling your photos even more lucrative.
It is also possible to post your images on multiple platforms and diversify your revenue streams. Be mindful of dramatic pricing differences between platforms for comparable pictures and packages of pictures.
Keep Upgrading Your Skills
One of the keys to success in selling feet pics (or in doing anything) is constantly upgrading your skills.
There are always new promotional techniques to learn, new angles to try, new ways to present your feet, or ways to connect with your audience.
Here are some tips and advice for continuing to improve your feet pic selling skills:
- Keep learning by taking online courses. Read photography blogs, and follow other foot models on social media to learn about new techniques and trends in the industry.
- In addition to photography-related courses, take online business and marketing courses.
- Experiment and don't be afraid to try new things and take risks. Sometimes the most unconventional poses and settings can lead to the most successful sales.
- Practice makes perfect, or at least it makes you better. Take plenty of photos, even if they don't all turn out perfectly. The more you practice, the more comfortable you'll become with your camera.
- If you're comfortable with it, ask for feedback. Reach out to other foot models or even your customers for feedback on your photos. They may have valuable insights on how you can improve your pics.
- Keep it fun and fresh. Don't rely on the same poses and settings for every shoot. Mix things up with new props, locations, and angles to not only keep your customers interested and engaged but to also keep yourself interested and engaged.
By continuing to upgrade your skills and stay on top of industry trends, you'll be able to increase your sales and build a strong reputation in the feet pic selling community.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Selling Feet Pics Dangerous?
Selling feet pics is not typically dangerous, but it can be if proper precautions are not taken.
Scammers, hackers, and weirdos may attempt to steal personal information, initiate fraudulent transactions, find your real identity, or even threaten to expose you online.
Additionally, selling feet pics may attract unwanted attention and potential harassment.
These threats are not limited to feet pic sellers, though. If you have just a general YouTube or TicTok channel or even your own blog, you may face these dangers too.
Stay vigilant, protect your personal information, use a persona, and only engage in transactions on trusted platforms with verified buyers.
What Are Feets Pics Worth?
Feet pics can vary widely in price, anywhere from $5 to $100 or more. Some sellers starting out might charge just a few dollars per photo, while others with large audiences and a fanbase might get hundreds.
Generally, the price of feet pics is determined by factors such as the quality of the photo, the pose of the feet, and the popularity (or even the identity) of the seller.
It's also true that the market for feet pics can fluctuate, and what something might be worth today may not be worth as much tomorrow. Of course, we're not talking about massive fluctuations here, like the price of oil or crypto.
The point is that you should keep up with the market and what your competitors are selling their pics for.
Additionally, some buyers may be willing to pay more for exclusive or custom photos upon request rather than stock photos that anyone can buy.
And, of course, you'll have buyers interested in lower-priced, mass-produced photos.
Modeling agencies, department stores, etc., will usually pay more than average. But they also have more stringent requirements.
Ultimately, the value of a foot pic is determined by the market demand for it.
Sellers can do research on current market trends and prices, as well as experiment with different pricing strategies, poses, etc., to find a sweet spot where maximum price and maximum sales meet.
