What Is Accolade Support?

Accolade Support offers call center services to various companies and organizations such as Dell, Holiday Inn, Rosetta Stone, Walgreens, and Walmart.

Founded in 2001, Accolade Support is headquartered in Albuquerque, New Mexico. They employ US-based support agents like you who want to work from home.

They don't always hire. However, when you see Accolade Support jobs posted, they are typically for outbound telemarketers.

Having said that, they also hire…

  • Inbound sales call center agents
  • Customer service call center agents
  • Technical support call center agents

Are Accolade Support Jobs Legit?

Let's face it, any work-at-home job is suspicious. Of course, you want it to be legit, but without brick walls, corner to corner carpet, and cubicles with real people answering real phones, you have to wonder… is this job a scam?

Accolade Support has the same issue as similar companies that offer work-at-home jobs such as Teletech, Arise, and Transcom. They get accused of being a scam because fraudsters post job ads pretending to be them.

It works like this…

You find a job posting that looks legitimate. The job description makes sense, the contact person seems real, and when you research the hiring company, everything checks out.

So you respond to the ad.

What you don't know, though, is that person hiring you is a scammer. They use the promise of work to get your personal information, including your banking information which they claim is required to receive payments.

The scam often gets more elaborate and has evolved over the years. For example, they may ask for money to send you phone and computer equipment with the promise you'll be reimbursed.

Of course, once you send them money, you never hear from them again.

Because the original ad said Accolade Support, and the recruiter claimed to work for Accolade Support… Accolade Support gets accused of being a scam.

This bait and switch scheme is used on all legitimate companies that offer work-at-home jobs.

The best way to protect yourself is to ensure all communication is done via official channels. For example, email communication should come from an @accoladesupport.com address, not from a generic email such as Hotmail or Gmail.

You should also avoid third-party messaging apps unless you are certain the person you are communicating with works for the company they claim to be (in this case, Accolade Support).

If you're unsure, look up the company independently to get the correct contact information and call them.

So, although Accolade Support is legit, some job postings using the name Accolade Support may not be.

Accolade Support Reviews and Complaints

For a company that has been around for 19 years, I was surprised to find few reviews or complaints about Accolade Support. That's generally a good sign, although it could also mean fewer Accolade Support jobs than their job postings imply.

Their Better Business Bureau profile was opened in 2007, and at this time, there are no complaints filed against them. That's unusual but not unheard of. And because there are no complaints, they have an A+ rating.

What I Like About Accolade Support Call Center Jobs

  • Accolade Support provides a legitimate opportunity for people to work from home.
  • Decent pay.
  • Flexible work schedule.

What I Don't Like

  • No benefits or fixed income.
  • Outbound telemarketing is not for everyone.
  • Few reviews suggest they don't hire as often as job postings imply.

Where Do You Go From Here?

I know you want to make money from home, and if you're comfortable on the phone, Accolade support may be a great way to do it.

If you've got bills piling up and debt weighing you down, this is an excellent way to supplement your income and get back on your feet.

Cold calling can be challenging for some people, though, and dealing with rejection sounds easier than it is. You might be able to sustain it for a while, but it takes a toll on most people.

Their inbound positions may be more suitable to your skill set and personality, but the qualifications for those roles are also more specific.

If you're not qualified for an inbound support job or Accolade is not hiring at the moment, you have some alternatives.

You might be a student in school or a single parent at home. You may have health challenges that make regular work difficult, or maybe you just hate your job and you’re desperate for a way out.

If that's the case, an online business may be what you want.

With all the scams and schemes out there though, knowing how and where to get started the right way is what you need in order to get what you want
